From October 18 to October 19, 2015, the International Academic Seminar 2015 of Fire Protection Engineering Technology was held at the experimental base of Tianjin Fire Protection Research Institute. This conference was conducted by Sci-tech & Informationization Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security and Tianjin Fire Protection Research Institute, supported by 3 laboratories------Firefighting & Rescue Techniques, Fire Scene Investigation and Evidence Identification & Firefighting Rescue Equipment.

The topic of this seminar wasDevelopment and Prospection of Building Fire Prevention & Firefighting Techniques. About three hundred research staff from USA, UK, France, Canada, Iceland, Sweden and China attended the conference. Yuchun Zhang (director of Fire Protection Engineering, FGEE) gave a report onthe equivalent spacing research of longitudinal evacuation routes in a submerged tunnel, which was selected as an excellent paper. In the question & answer and discussion sections, Zhang and Li discussed some hot issues and difficult points with other attendants, reached some kind of agreement and showed the best wishes of future cooperation.
