Experimental Center of Environmental Science and Engineering

The experimental center of environmental science and engineering has experienced four stages: Laboratory of Environmental Protection Engineering Research Institute (1984), Environmental Engineering Laboratory, Department of Environmental Engineering,School of Civil Engineering (1998), environmental engineering experimental center of College of environmental science and Engineering (2001) and environmental science and engineering experimental teaching center of Faculty of Geosciences and Environmental Engineering (2011), Under the key support and construction of "211" project and "323" laboratory project of our university, the experimental center has been greatly developed. In 2002, it was approved as the key laboratory of environmental pollution and engineering environmental control in Sichuan Province. In 2011, it was approved as Sichuan Engineering Laboratory. In 2013, it was approved as the key laboratory of comprehensive monitoring of regional air quality in Sichuan Province (joint preparation).The experimental room area of the experimental center has reached 2200 square meters, 460 sets of related equipment, and the total asset value is nearly 11 million yuan.The experimental center has built three professional basic laboratories of "environmental engineering microbiology laboratory, environmental monitoring laboratory and Environmental Engineering Principle Laboratory", four professional laboratories of "water pollution control laboratory, air pollution control laboratory, solid waste treatment and disposal laboratory, and physical pollution control laboratory", as well as a basic environmental monitoring platform.In the 30 years' development, the experimental center has cultivated and established a team of teachers with perfect knowledge structure and strong scientific research and teaching strength. At present, there are 35 full-time and part-time scientific and technological personnel in the experimental center, including 21 with doctor's degree and 22 with associate senior or above titles. The experimental center is mainly responsible for the teaching experiment of undergraduate students majoring in environmental engineering and the experimental teaching and scientific research work of postgraduates and doctoral students majoring in environmental engineering, engineering environmental control and municipal engineering.
